VitaSoil is a high carbon formulation inoculated with a diverse range of beneficial microbes. The carbon sources used in the formulation are divided between active (or microbially digestible) and stable (or non-digestible) forms of carbon. In addition to carbon, VitaSoil is inoculated with a range of beneficial soil microbes, derived from various sources.
These microbes play an essential role in the functionality of healthy soils and, in turn, promote vigorous plant growth, allow for more tolerance to human neglect, inclement environmental circumstances and suppress diseases through the promotion of soil-benevolent bacteria and fungi.

VitaSoil is a combination of high fungal compost, biochar, earthworm castings and beneficial bacteria. This combination is designed to recolonize microbial communities in soil which leads to improved nutrient availability, better water management, disease suppression and ultimately healthier plants.
VitaSoil reestablishes microbial colonies that have been compromised through traditional agricultural practises. These microbes are essential in building soil structure, mineralising compounds in the soil and feeding them to plants, and ultimately leading to operations that require fewer synthetic inputs. Most farmers are well aware of the economic implications associated with degraded soils, however the plethora of biological ammendments available often confuse growers. VitaSoil provides a simple solution to this problem. It improves organic carbon levels, and reestablishes microbial communties – the basis of healthy soils. And healthy soils grow healthy plants that require fewer inputs.
Most microbes are comprised of 17% Nitrogen. In healthy soils there is around 2 tons of microbial biomass. This equates to over 300kgs of plant available N that is made available to plants through microbial decomposition. They are literally little packets of fertilizer.
VitaSoil is best applied at soil preparation stage or at planting. Its unique formula of microbial food, biochar, and microorganisms starts the cycle to regenerate soils. Application rates are crop and soil dependant, although as little as 250kgs/ha has shown improvements in yields, water usage, crop resilience against pests and disease and turn-around time to harvest. As soils improve your usage declines as the nutrient cycle and relationship between plants and microorganisms is revived.
